Blue jeans blue

My closet and I have silently declared war on blue jeans. To really stand out in fashion, I think this is the first step: stop wearing jeans. Not that jeans don’t have their own fashion flair; skinny’s the thing now, right? It’s just different— during the last few social functions I attended that didn’t call for Sunday best, I tried to take note of this. And really, over half of the people around me were always in jeans.

Some of the fashion blogs I visit will maybe have one post where the author wears jeans. In their photos all their mystique and fashion awe disappears—they’re normal. I think jeans are a good tool for staying anonymous, and that’s why the war rages on: sometimes I just want to blend in, so my jeans have a spot in the closet for now. Besides, who wants to wear a dress camping?
